It’s turkey time again. If not eating one isn’t enough for you this Thanksgiving, the Farm Sanctuary’s Adopt-A-Turkey Project is a great way to celebrate the holiday and make a big difference in a bird’s life.
They’ve rescued over 1,000 turkeys in the last 20 years, but given that 300 million are slaughtered in the US every year (45 million of those for Thanksgiving), we’ve still go a long way to go.
You can either adopt a turkey by providing financial support for one of the resident turkeys at the Farm Sanctuary (starting at $20), or actually adopt two or more turkeys and have them come live with you!
