Excuse this cheesy headline. I just tried Amy’s vegan mac and cheese with Daiya, and my life is CHANGED. This stuff is delicious. The cheese is smooth and melty, and really cheesy, not cheese-saucy. Dare I say it is better than any “real” mac and cheese. AND it’s gluten-free. Bonus! You can finally find the mac at Whole Foods in Union Square for $4.49. If you’ve seen it elsewhere, do tell!

on #i tried it last night too! how funny. it is by FAR the best vegan mac and cheese i’ve ever had!!! it was sooo good! but did you see how many calories & fat are in that teeny box?! it’s kinda crazy! so i think ill buy it every 6 months or make my own!

on #This filled the mac and cheese void I have in my life. While I make my own using cheese sauce from Uncheese Cookbook, this seriously reminded me of my Velveeta days. Then for some strange reason I looked at the nutritional information (which I never do). That was a mistake–22 grams of fat and 560 calories or something like that. Eek!

on #Quick frugal tip! Before it came to Whole Foods, I emailed Amy’s asking when it would be here, and they replied and said to send along my address for coupons. About 2 weeks later, I received a TON of coupons for all their products- like $1.00 off, etc. AWESOME. So, if you want to save some dollars and show some Amy’s love, email them!

on #I’m an addicted Amy’s vegetarian mac and chess fan. It is better than I could ever make it. I only wish you could use less salt. Nevertheless, it is fantastic!
