Pamela Rice is the author of the popular 16-page pamphlet 101 Reasons Why I'm a Vegetarian - now published in book length (with the same name) by none other than Lantern Books.
She is the founder (1992) of the VivaVegie Society, a vegetarian advocacy organization in New York City. She founded (1999) and directs all activities at VivaVegie's Vegetarian Center of NYC (find extensive archives on every vegetarian subject there). Pamela is also the founder and publisher of The VivaVine: The Vegetarian-Issues Magazine (momentarily not publishing).
As an expert in vegetarian issues, she gives talks on the environmental impact of society's meat-centered diet and U.S. subsidies to the meat industry. She engages the public with vegetarian street outreach and has organized numerous vegetarian events.
