The National Rifle Association (NRA) has just released a rather impressive illustrated publication titled Freedom in Peril: Guarding the 2nd Ammendment in the 21st Century (PDF). The booklet, created for fundraising purposes, is basically a hitlist of folks who present a (real or imagined) threat to the White middle-class’ right to bear arms.

You must, must, must check this out. It’s actually quite wonderful. Animal Rights Terrorists are featured on page 11 of the PDF. According to the publication, we have money to burn and run with enraged, seemingly-rabid lobsters. Awesome! If only the NRA and I lived in the same world.

Kudos to IndyBay for reporting on this and making my day.

   This is being discussed at length on Boing Boing here. Apparently there are questions as to whether it should actually be attributed to the NRA or not…

   Yeah after looking at the Boing Boing page, which is actually referenced in the link you provide, I still can’t tell if it’s legit. I’ll wait for snopes.com for the final verdict.

   The speculation seems to have evened out … consensus is that it’s not a hoax, it’s for real (obfuscatory round-ups via boingboing and wonkette).
