A whole lot of news out of 227 Sullivan Street, better known as Sacred Chow, that venerable spot for awkward first dates and equally awkward straw seating devices. First and foremost, there are now all-new, real-life chairs! But the real breaking story is that S.C. is now all vegan–shit, there ain’t even cow’s milk for omni coffee! The restaurant is also starting a regular open mic night. Expect dancing, miming, poetry, jokes and music. The first one will be this Thursday, June 7 at 7pm.

Unfortunately there’s a trade-off: no more happy hour.
