Animal Friends Insurance in the UK has launched “No Meat Rewards ethical life insurance.” (They also offer more expensive life insurance for meat-eating humans and health insurance for cats and dogs; 100% of net profits go to animal charities.) Says managing director Elaine Fairfax: “the life insurance industry needs to acknowledge the fact that being a vegetarian can have a very positive impact on life expectancy and reduce premiums accordingly.” Right on!
