Organic Beer lovers and veggie gourmands rejoice!
Counter, the east village vegetarian spot known for its gourmet vegan and vegetarian fare will be playing host to the 2nd Annual Organic Beer Bash; a benefit for the Greenmarket and Food Systems Network of NYC. Over 30 organic beers and ciders from around the world will be hand; a menu of beer-made appetizers will also be featured.
Deborah Gavito, proprietor of the Counter, sat down with Gothamist’s Jen Carlson and talked a bit about the beer bash, her time spent at NYC’s Greenmarket and gives a peek at what we might expect at Counter’s annual Thanksgiving feast.
This event along with a bunch of other cool stuff is featured in SuperVegan’s Event Calendar.

on #That’s pretty f’ed up. Peak organic has 3 beers on that list, but they are not vegan – they use either gelatin or isinglass (forget which) to fine their beer.
Counter sucks anyway.
Foret saison is pretty awesome though.
