Can’t say I’ve spent much time delving into the realm of porcelain tableware, so when my friend told me about the wonders of Daisy Dog Studio, it took me a few weeks to head down to Tribeca and stop by to see for myself.

When I finally took the time to do so, I was rather impressed by the stylish, modern designs – particularly the teapots and dog bowls. The cookie jars (see photo) are also rather tempting.

More noteworthy however is the 5% donation of all sales made to PETA and that now in the works at Daisy Dog Studio is a dog bowl designed specifically for the group to be sold through the PETA mall in the fall.

The inspiration for all of this? Daisy herself, a rescued Pitbull who can often be found lounging in the store doing her part to reverse the unfair rap given Pitbulls.
