Looking for that special someone? Why not come out to Central Park tomorrow and find him? Mayor’s Alliance for Animals is hosting a cat, dog, and rabbit adoption event on Saturday May 6 from 11am-4pm in Central Park, on the road between the Mall and the Sheep Meadow (enter the Park at 66 or 72 Street, east or west sides). Low-cost microchipping clinic for dogs and cats ($25 each) will be available. A veterinarian, groomer and trainer will also be on-hand to answer questions. Info: (212) 252-2350 or info@AnimalAllianceNYC.org.
If you are lucky enough to have a dog (or can borrow one for a few hours), be sure to register now for the ASPCA Central Park Dog Walk on Saturday June 3. Funds raised by the event will benefit the efforts of ASPCA, Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals, and Animal Care & Control of New York City. These organizations are working to create a no-kill NYC by promoting the importance of spay and neuter and hosting adoption events for homeless pets.
Get your dog in tip-top shape for the June 3rd walk by visiting one of the city’s many dog runs.
