According to a story in the New York Times, a New York City man has come down with anthrax after working with untreated goat skins in Africa. The man used the skin to make his own drums, kind of like they do here. If you want non-animal drum heads, click here.

I guess this is just a cautionary warning next time you get a dead animal and try to make a musical instrument out of their skin, watch out for highly infectious, lethal diseases.
