The League of Humane Voters is celebrating five years of political action for animals: Join the party on November 15, 6:30 PM, at Theatre for the New City, 155 First Avenue between 9th and 10th Streets.

Guests will include Singer/Songwriter Nellie McKay (who will give a musical performance), Grant Aleksander, star of Guiding Light and All My Children, cartoonist/comedian Dan Piraro, and artist Peter Max. LOHV–NYC will also be honoring their humane legislators of the year.

Advance registration (tickets are $50) is strongly recommended. Students and those who wish to attend but can’t afford the $50 cover are encouraged to volunteer. Email info@humanenyc.org or call (212) 889–0303 for details.

   This was a great event. Alot of wholesome food, a very motivating speach by Mr. John Phillips, and a special perfomance by a rising star. I had alot of fun, and I left so motivated that political action is the way to go!
