Earth Tonez: New Veg Spot in Park Slope

Thanks to readers Jon and Catres for letting us know about Earth Tonez, a new vegetarian restaurant on 5th Avenue between 4th and 5th Streets in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Earth Tonez offers a selection of salads and sandwiches, vegan baked goods by Red Mango, and a wide variety of teas and natural sodas (but is possibly the only place in Park Slope that doesn’t sell coffee).

While everything is vegetarian, be extra careful about what’s vegan and what isn’t. The friendly staff know, but the printed menu can be confusing (for example the Caesar salad is specifically advertised as having “VEGAN” dressing, but contains cheese and faux-chicken that aren’t vegan). Seating is limited, but on a nice day there’s a park a block away! The dishes and packaging are all disposable, but also all biodegradable.

Earth Tonez is two doors down from Willie’s Dawgs, and a block or so away from the future location of Brooklyn ‘sNice (which looks like it won’t be open for at least another month). (Here’s a map of all our Park Slope listings.)
