New Websites: HumaneMyth.org and VeganMeans.com

James LaVeck and Jenny Stein of Tribe of Heart (the documentary filmmakers behind The Witness and Peaceable Kingdom) have today launched HumaneMyth.Org, a website that "offers expert testimony, educational slide shows, critical analysis, a glossary, and a media database that together challenge the considerable misinformation behind these rapidly proliferating feel-good labels."

The site doesn't shy away from passing a staunchly abolitionist critical eye on the involvement of the HSUS and other animal advocacy groups with certifying animal products as humane-- a critique that I think is valuable regardless of where one stands on the issue.

In related news, abolitionist group Friends of Animals recently launched VeganMeans.com, a website devoted to introducing fledgeling vegans and the vegan curious to the issues surrounding veganism, as well as offer resources.
