(p.s.: I really want the correct singular spelling to be "trannie," like hippie, yuppie, etc.)

I know there's a debate in certain circles about the use of the word, "trannie" and how reclaiming it from those who hate them is a good thing and I still cringe, I mean not just inside, I visibly cringe when I hear a cissexual person repeatedly call a trans person "tranny" as in, "you go that, tranny?" etc. I personally find it demeaning and condescending. I mean, jeez, the guy's name is Trent, why don't you call him that? He's gay, why didn't you ask him, "You got that, faggot?" (Yeah, for some of us, "tranny" hurts THAT much!)
I assume the dialog was written with humor as its intent. I appreciate the video's attempt to educate about the differences between sexual orientation and gender identity. The whole thing absolutely falls flat on its face as far as I'm concerned, however, because of the flippant use of this term that so many trans people still find painful and demeaning.
