Tofurky Disguise Kit!!

How did I ever live without this?!

How did I ever live without this?!

Ooohhh, now, we have to admit, though Tofurkys taste wonderful, they look rather bland. Mr. Kevin Forbes, my newly minted vegan Thanksgiving hero, has offered an awesome solution to jazz that cruelty-free center piece of yours up!! And in the wonderful vegan tradition of sharing and vegan awesome wonderfulness, he has made a template (with complete directions) for everyone to print out and decorate their Tofurkys with!!!

CHECK THIS OUT! I'm soooo doing this on Thursday!!

P.S. Another fun idea for those spending Thanksgiving with kids or just looking for something adorable to do before the big meal actually starts...trace your hand on a sheet of paper to form a turkey shape, cut it out with a pair of scissors, then whip out those crayons and color away! A vegan couple I know had each of their 5 year-old twins make 5 of these paper turkeys to represent all the turkeys they've saved each year by having turkey-free Thanksgivings. How cute is that?!?!

I wouldn't make a big fuss about this, but I really don't like it. I would not want fake meat "dressed up" as a turkey to be on my table to carve up and eat...a bit offensive to my eyes (my eyes being the least of my senses offended).

As long as you're eating a tofurkey and not a real turkey, who cares how it's decorated?

I think it's great that it's dressed up as a LIVE turkey! (I'd take off the decorations before slicing, but that's just me.)
