Falafel Eating Contest Tonight in the East Village

There’s a Falafel Eating Contest at 6pm tonight (Friday, December 7th, 2007) at Tasty Falafel, 32 Saint Marks Place, between 2nd and 3rd Aves.

If you want to compete, show up at 5:30 and get on the list. And wear a vegan T-shirt or something. This is an excellent outreach opportunity!

Even if you don’t want to eat as much falafel as possible as fast as possible, they have a crazy-cheap deal from 4-9pm: 8 cent falafel sandwiches (limit one per person).

I’ve never tried Tasty Falafel. Is it any good? Go spend 8¢ and find out.
