New to animal rights? A veteran with years of experience? The 6th annual Farm Animal Forum will be held by Farm Sanctuary on Sunday, April 29, 2007, at the National Constitution Center at 525 Arch Street in Philadelphia, PA. Activists from all walks of life are sure to take away heaps of information and inspiration from this one–day conference. Activities will include speakers, merchandise and literature exhibits and hands-on activism. Up–to–date information on farm animal issues, campaigns, and developments will be provided.

Reservations are required by April 20, and the cost is $45 and $50 after April 6. Students pay $35, and the fee includes lunch. To register call (607) 583-2225 ext. 221 or visit FarmSanctuary.org. Volunteers to help with the conference are still needed.

I highly recommend this event – for vegans and curious non-vegans. I heard Lawrence Carter-Long and Gene Baur speak this past Thxgiving at Farm Sanctuary’s California sanctuary, and it was the best talk I’d heard all year long. Drag your non-vegan friends along, if possible. They won’t be disappointed.

This is like going up to the “mountaintop” to get some inspiration, to get “enthused” about your lifestyle and moral choices, and strengthen them. Being in the presence of human beings like Lawrence and Gene is worth the long trip from whatever state you’re in (geographically or mentally, as the case may be).
