I would gift this to my Dad… I am a vegan and am raising my 14 month old son vegan also. My Dad is a hunter, big meat eater. Well he is ALWAYS making comments about how he will give my son meat & that he will end up being his “hunting buddy”. Incredibly disrespectful considering my ethics. And it’s nothing new, he knows that I went veg when I was 6 years old. I would love him to have this to open his eyes because no matter what I say, he continues to do this. I def will not be letting my son be alone with him because of the comments so it’s sad. I would love for him to understand better and don’t know. Hope I worded that well, Tried to sum it up lol! Merry Christmas to you & yours! :)

I would gift this to my Father as well. He doesn’t understand my vegan ism and doesn’t believe that the food system is as corrupt as I say it is. Educate educate educate! That’s what I plan on doing.

Not to be a follower, but I would give this to my dad as well. He is very supportive of me being vegan, but I would love for him to give more thought to his eating choices as well. He’s 73 and it’s even more important now for him to make the healthiest choices he can.

Gave it to my dad, who then had to have heart surgery (aortic valve replacement–pig valve-plus a bypass). He thought it was “interesting,” but said his doctor wouldn’t recommend it because eating a plant-based diet might interfere with his medications or throw his system off. True story. However, if the doctor didn’t say that, there’d be another excuse, unfortunately.

There are so many people I would want to give this to. I would say right now it would be a tie between my husband and dad. But they are such good friends they could watch it together! :-) My dad just finished his first long distance triathlon and is on a newly renewed quest for health so if I could just convince him of this one last step!!

I’ve been vegan for 12.5 years. I’d give it to my identical twin. She’s in the middle of the exploration process for gastric bypass surgery and is diabetic and hypertensive. If she watched FOK, she might change her mind about the surgery. It could, literally, save her life.

I plan on holding a screening at my home..invite friends and family who therwise would never attempt on their own to watch this..and I will prepare different vegan dishes, so that they can learn that food without meat and dairy can be delicious as well as healthy..my hope is to effect change in their lives for the well-being of this planet and all sentient beings:)

I plan on gifting this movie to my mother: she has just been diagnosed with arteriosclerosis (sp?) and she really needs a push other than just us kids telling her to change her food habits.

I’ll be gifting this to my mother. She’s been just a stone’s throw away from going veg for years now, and hopefully this awesome doc will be enough to get her to switch to a plant-based diet.

I would gift this to myself. Hopefully that doesn’t sound selfish. Diabetes and heart problems run in my family. I have been slowly trying to eliminate animal products from my diet over the past few months but am struggling with breaking life-long habits. I hope viewing this would give me the final push I need to focus on leading a more healthy lifestyle.

I plan on giving this gift to my entire family. I have celiac disease and completly changed my diet and health which changed my entire world. I now eat mostly raw vegan and would love my family to understand and embrace my new found health. My Aunt is extremely overweight, with terrible back and knee problems as well as early onset diabetes. She goes on crash diets every few months with no results. Her diet is a very SAD extreme. If I could help her see what great potential she has and what diet and lifestyle can truly do, my heart would melt.

my job. I work for a holistic doctor and we have borrowed the dvd from the local library so our patients can watch while having treatments. it is very informative and the patients love it, it really helps to push in a plant based diet. thanks

I would give this to my mother. She has high cholesterol yet still eats meat, even though she knows that it is bad for her. I would love for her to embrace a vegan lifestyle.

I would gift this to my mother who is battling cancer with chemotherapy and surgeries, yet doctors in South America have yet to recommend her stopping consumption of all animal products. Unfortunately, South America is far behind when it comes to information with regards to plant based diets and overall health and the correlation between consumption of animal products and cancer. I live far from her in Los Angeles, and there is so much advocating and educating I can do, it would be amazing for her to find out the truth by watching this amazing film. Thanks!
