In Northern Ireland, a man was videotaped biting the head off a live mouse and spitting it out, and the clip ran on YouTube. The Ulster Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is looking for him.
Two men in the U.K. gave in to “peer pressure” and played a game of baseball using live turkeys instead of balls. This was caught on film too. Apparently, taping yourself committing acts of violence against animals is a cool thing to do.
And back on our own soil, the Wildlife Commission of Colorado has given farmers the thumbs-up to kill prairie dogs using an explosive device known as the Rodenator to prevent the animals from destroying their crops. Does anyone else think they saw Caddyshack one too many times?
