So, you’re a vegan and you happen to be in southern Germany (it happens) and you’re at a bit of a loss where to eat. Well, fear no more. Susan Faulkner (not yet a vegan, but a good friend of vegans) who when not a globe-trotting gourmand doubles as a film ethnographer, just popped into Zerwirk, which proudly (if my rusty German serves me correctly) eschews all animal products and has a host of fresh and interesting foods. Judging by the photo it looks very sleek and “Vorsprung durch Technik,” as the old Audi commercials used to say. Susan herself thought it on a par with Candle Cafe and Candle 79 in New York City. A compliment indeed.
