Two events on the Green Scare are happening in NYC on Wednesday, March 7:

At 12:30 PM, NYU’s Students for Education on Animal Liberation (SEAL) are hosting Heidi Boghosian and Will Potter at the Kimmel Center (Room 909) at 60 Washington Square South. The discussion will include hot topics such as free speech and first amendment rights, and the labeling of animal rights and environmental activists as terrorists. Will Potter is the creator of GreenIsTheNewRed.com; Heidi Boghosian is the executive director of the National Lawyer’s Guild.

Later in the day at 6 PM, the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund and Brooklyn Law School Chapters of the National Lawyers Guild are presenting The Green Scare: The Constitutional Cost of Prosecuting Animal Rights and Environmental Activists as Terrorists. The panel happens at Brooklyn Law School, Subotnick Center, 11th Floor, at 250 Joralemon Street. Speakers include Will Potter, joined by Camille Hankins of Win Animal Rights, Gráinne O’Neill, leading expert on the Violent Gang and Terrorist Organization File (VGTOF), and David Rankin who is the leading attorney defending Win Animal Rights against Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Both events are free and open to the public. Make sure to bring a photo ID. Refreshments will be served.
