There are two free panel talks this Wednesday, March 7 on journalist Will Potter’s Green Scare: the consequences of labeling eco- and animal rights activists as terrorists. The first is at 12:30 pm at NYU’s Kimmel Center (Room 909) at 60 Washington Square South. It’s sponsored by NYU’s Students for Education on Animal Liberation and will feature Potter and the National Lawyer’s Guild‘s Heidi Boghosian. The second is at 6 pm at the Subotnick Center at Brooklyn Law School, 250 Joralemon Street. The panel includes Potter, Win Animal Rights‘s Camille Hankins (find her terrorist profile here), the NLG’s Gráinne O’Neill and WAR attorney David Rankin, and is presented by the NLG and the Animal Legal Defense Fund. A reception with vegan food and wine will follow. And make sure to bring your photo ID–that way they’ll know you aren’t a terrorist.
