Please visit Zazzle.com and buy all the HSUS fundraising stamps you can today because as of tomorrow (August 31) the website will no longer carry the animal-postive postage stamps. This is result of a huge stink caused by the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance (USSA). It seems the group was rubbed the wrong way by the HSUS’s anti-hunting postage stamps and was further offended when its “Sportsmen—America’s First Conservationist” stamps were rejected by Zazzle. Obviously it was a call to arms. In addition to gloating about getting the stamps discontinued, the USSA is also demanding that officials investigate how much money the HSUS stamps raised.
The Star Ledger reports that the USSA doesn’t plan to stop at stamps. It urges America’s hunters to “remain vigilant that businesses are not misled into supporting an animal rights agenda.” Group spokesperson Dale Miles says “sportsmen should be on the lookout for any interactions between publicly funded entities, such as libraries and museums, and groups with anti-hunting agendas.”
