It’s so friggin’ hot that I’m almost panting, so I just wanted to let you guys know about Animal Protection Institute’s website devoted to helping dogs survive the Summer: MyDogIsCool.com. This site gives you all the tools you need to remind folks that leaving Fido in a sun-drenched parking lot while they shop for groceries is not okay. There are flyers you can print out and keep in your purse or knapsack to leave on car windows when you see a dog who has been put in danger. The site also allows visitors to enter their zip code and discover if it’s too hot outside to bring the dog along. Check it out!
And if you’re really into safe Summer doggie style, give Doggles sunglasses for canines a whirl. Though they make dogs look like furry invaders from Mars, they also protect our friends’ eyes from harmful UV rays.
