Wednesday night at Gotham Comedy Club: Komedy for Karma, a night of chuckles benefiting Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary, as administered by Janeane Garofalo, Gary Gulman, Judy Gold and host Dan Piraro. Judah Friedlander can’t make it, but Louis CK was just added to the lineup! Alas, no more (cheaper) advance tickets are available, so call for a reservation (212-367-9000), arrive early (208 W. 23 St.; show starts at 8) and be prepared to pay $60 at the door.
Thursday night’s affair is considerably more affordable. Proceeds from Paws for a Cause will go to Animal Care & Control of New York City’s Safety Net Program, which helps people find ways to keep their pets rather than turning them over to a shelter. The show, which starts at 8:30 at Stand Up New York (236 W. 78 St.), features Laurie Kilmartin, Jessica Kirson, Helen Hong and Jackie Monahan and will be hosted by Leah Bonnema. Tickets are $15 and go toward helping this very beneficial, non-city-funded program continue its awesome work.
