Yesterday, The Telegraph reported that Morrissey spoke out against the new multi-million dollar Oxford animal testing laboratory during his Thursday night concert at Oxford’s New Theatre. The vegetarian singer branded Oxford “the shame of England” for allowing the laboratory and told the audience, “If you agree with vivisection, go and be vivisected upon yourself.” The article also conjures up other badass anti-vivisection and anti-Bush and Blair comments made by Morrissey.

Telegraph‘s most recent fear-mongering article reports that AR activists have discovered the undisclosed location of the builders constructing the new Oxford lab. The article quotes Morrissey as warning workers at the building site, “We’ll get you!”

It seems Morrissey is getting growing more intensely political by the minute. Fans should try making it out to the final shows of the tour because who knows how long it will be before The Man tries to silence him. Lately, I fear free speech may soon be a thing of the past, folks. Kudos to Morrissey for making the best use of this power while we still have it!
