New Eats: Primal Sticks and Sheese

I haven’t tried either of these things, but I’d sure like to: Food Fight! is now carrying Primal Sticks, a Slim-Jim-like jerky stick from the makers of Primal Strips. (They don’t seem to be on the Primal Spirits website yet, though). And Ryan at VegBlog is raving about Scottish cheese-substitute Sheese.

If anyone out there has tried either of these, please tell us what you thought in the comments.

I have tried the primal strips. good, but nothing special. I prefer the jerky with the cowboy on the cover….I forget the brand.

Just got done munching down on my first one, the smoked flavor. Pretty good. Very different than the regular Primal Strips and much bigger than I thought they’d be. Tasty tastums.

I think you mean “Stonewall’s Jerquee” from Lumen Foods, Andrew. I like it too… and thanks for reminding me to get more. I don’t like Primal Strips because of the licorice flavor. Why on earth do Asian-style jerky substitutes use licorice? Ewww.

If anyone wants to try the (oh so fantastic and droolicious) Sheese, email for details on ordering. :o)

The new medium red cheddar style is some of the most amazing stuff in the universe!
