Inspired by NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), Katie of Don’t Eat Off the Sidewalk zine has declared November VeganMoFo (Vegan Month of Food). Basically it’s an excuse for vegan food bloggers to get even more hyperactive. The rules are loose, but the goal is to write more, cook more, photograph more, post more, and overwhelm my poor RSS subscription list more. And it’s the best name for a month ever. The list of participants is here.
Katie was recently the subject of a big interview in Jewcy, which includes this wonderful quote in response to a question about vegansexuals: “If you tell someone you won’t sleep with them because they’re not vegan, they’re not going to think about their diet. They’re just going to think that you’re a whackjob.” She’s now selling copies of the second issue of the zine. Issue one sold out way fast (even without her sending a review copy to SuperVegan), so get ordering!

on #Hey, the VeganMoFo thing was Isa’s idea! I just compiled the list of ideas that we all came up with on the ppk and made the crappy banner. Thanks for the link!

on #It’s not a crappy banner! I like it. And anyway, we’ve used up our Isa quota for the year, so we have to start blaming her ideas on other people.
(Also, I totally ate off the sidewalk today. Dropped some pretzels.)
