Seitan veggie pot pie, polenta with white bean mushroom ragout, cornmeal-crusted tempeh with collards, dirty rice and roasted sweet potatoes and shepherds pie – for 4 bucks?! That’s right, kids: all these dishes will be featured at the Park Slope Food Coop and chef Michael Welch‘s “Hungry, Healthy Vegan” cooking class on Thursday, February 1. The class is open to coop members and non-members alike, and it begins at 7:30 p.m, though the powers that be recommend getting there early. The Coop is located at 782 Union Street between 6th and 7th Avenues in Brooklyn.
