Recipe Tuesday: PB’n’O Dog Treats

Happy Birthday Molé!

Happy Birthday Molé!

Meet Molé. (Y’know, like the Mexican chocolate sauce!) He’s my friend, my buddy and my confidant. He’s one super-chill dude. Yesterday was his birthday; I wanted to surprise the li’l guy so I made a vegan treat just for him. (Don’t tell him, but they were really easy to make and didn’t take much time at all.)

He was super stoked.
This is what I made him:

Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Dog Treats.

1 TBS Molasses
1 TBS Oil
1 TBS Flour (your choice)
2 TBS Peanut Butter
2 Cups Oats
1 Cup Low-Sodium Veggie Broth

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix all your ingredients together. Let sit at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes or until all the liquid is soaked up.

Measure out Tablespoon sized balls on a greased baking sheet. Flatten with a fork. Bake for 30 minutes until crisp. Cool and serve!

Holy Cuteness! I have a vegan chihuahua for a best friend as well, but she hates peanut butter!

Whoa, this is aweseome!! Did you use 1-minute quick-cooking oats or old fashioned 5-minute ones?

    @ Steve.

I used old fashioned. Honestly, i don’t see why quick-cooking oats wouldn’t work though!
