Recipe Tuesday: Sweet and Sour “Oyster” Noodles

Remember that crazy dude who said that Oysters should be vegan? Whatever happened to that guy? This recipe doesn’t have oysters in it, but it does have a vegetarian “oyster” sauce as a key ingredient. You can usually find it in Asian markets. If you can’t locate it, look online or y’know, make your own.

This recipe is on some Rachel Ray type sh*t. It takes (way) less than 30 minutes and it’s YUMMO. FML dude, FML…

Sweet and Sour “Oyster” Noodles

#1
6 TBS Soy Sauce
2 TBS (Rice) Vinegar
1/3 – 1/2 Cup Water (use 1/2 if you like things “less salty”)
1/3 Cup Vegetarain (Mushroom) Oyster Sauce
2 TBS Light Brown Sugar
1 1/2 TBS Cornstarch
3 minced garlic cloves
1 Tablespoon minced fresh garlic

I TBS Sesame Oil
Chopped Green Onions
2 Cups (Julienne) Vegetables

1 lb cooked Soba Noodles

Wisk your #1 ingredients; set aside. Heat your sesame oil and stirfry your #2 ingredients for 4 minutes. Add your wisked sauce and cook for 1 minute; stirring to incorporate the vegetables. Add your #3 ingredient and mix well.
