The fourth annual Richmond Vegetarian Festival will be held on Saturday, July 29 from 12 noon to 7 pm throughout the Azaleas Garden in Bryan Park. (The rain date is August 5.) This free, outdoor event is open to the public and will celebrate a healthy and humane lifestyle.
The festival will feature guest speakers, cooking demonstrations, live entertainment, delicious food, adoptable animals, and a “kids patch.” Children can have their faces painted, enjoy various games and crafts, and bounce around an inflatable moonwalk. Many local businesses (including Panda Veg restaurant, which I remember as being very yummy and cheap) will be on hand to showcase their vegetarian-friendly products and food. In addition, local farmers are helping to bring a Farmer’s Market to the festival.
