A second rally was held by In Defense of Animals in Clifton Park yesterday for George Sarris, a license rehabilitator and sanctuary provider who has been ordered by NYS Supreme Court Justice Stephen Ferradino to stop feeding disabled birds for whom he has provided sanctuary. The possibility remains that Sarris may be ordered to euthanize the birds.

An article in a local newspaper Metroland outlines the situation here, going into the multiple lawsuits persued by multiple people. Between his neighbors and the town, the lawsuits site everything from zoning laws to noise complaints.

Sarris has his work cut out for him in protecting these birds and IDA is asking for those concerned to contact the Town Of Clifton with contact info and sample letters to be found here.
