What do you think they’d want?
According to the BBC, supporters of fox-hunting and hare-coursing in the United Kingdom are calling for the repeal of the 2004 Hunting Act because, they claim, it’s not stopping them from hunting! The law, they claim, is “derided, discredited and damaged befond repair.” Those who support the ban claim, however, that the law is working quite well, thank you, and dispute the “facts” put out by the Countryside Alliance (the front group for the hunters) that more foxes are being killed now than when hunting was legal.
So, those who fought the ban want it repealed because it’s not “effective” enough, while those who want to stop animals being killed want to keep the ban, even though more animals may be dying now. Go figure!
