This Valentine’s Day, rather than wearing all black and eating eight pounds of soy ice cream, why not send a valentine to a chained dog? During the week of February 7th-14th, Dogs Deserve Better is sponsoring their fifth annual Have a Heart for Chained Dogs Week, with the goal being to send out 8,000 valentines to chained or penned dogs.
Whether you have a date this Valentine’s Day or you plan on eating date pudding all by your lonesome, there is a dog chained to a fence in your neighbor’s backyard who could use a heart.
