Meat eaters have weird logic and some of it made my head spin when I read a Rueters story about the impending law that will soon make sales of foie gras in Chicago illegal.

The head of Chicago Chefs for Choice, a group formed to fight the ban, was quoted:

“If you don’t like it, you don’t buy it. It’s a consumer choice issue … not an issue for legislation.”

So, we cannot legislate against cruelty, ever. Is that this person’s point? Scary.

“They want to ban eggs, they want to ban veal, they want to ban lobster, they want to ban everything,” another animal flesh aficionado said, according to the article.

Well, to that I’d say, if you want to be consistent, ur, logical. Well, yeah.
