Head to L.A. this weekend for the 21st Annual International Compassionate Living Festival, and enjoy three days of yummy vegan meals plus lectures and panels with animal protection leaders like Karen Davis of United Poultry Concerns, Erica Meier of Compassion Over Killing, Theodora Capaldo of the New England Anti-Vivisection Society, Christine Chavez Delgado of United Farm Workers and Julie Chavez Martinez of the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation.
The event—which is sponsored by groups including The Humane Society of the United States, Farm Sanctuary, VegNews, the Doris Day Animal League, the American Anti-Vivisection Society, Animal Legal Defense Fund, Satya and In Defense of Animals—will also feature keynote speakers Dan Piraro, of Bizarro fame, and Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson, the author of When Elephants Weep and other books.
If you can get there a day early, on Thursday there’s a meet-and-greet/book signing/outdoor cocktail hour in Beverly Hills with authors Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson, Tom Regan (Empty Cages) and Matthew Scully (Dominion).
Register for the conference and the book signing now.
