On Sunday June 19, pop over to the Pine Box Rock Shop for the first of two free summer Vegan Shop-Ups – a pop-up market featuring locally made food, body-products, and more. If that isn’t enticement enough, the Shop-Up also coincides with Sunday WAFFLE BRUNCH at Pine Box. Check out the full vendor list to see if any of your favorites are listed.

On Saturday, June 18, there’s a Vegan Potluck Picnic at the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Along with food or drink to share, bring your own eating and drinking implements. And you may end up on TV!

If sweets are your thing, on Saturday stop by Cupcakefest 2011: Songs & Sweets to Benefit John A. Bukowski Shelter for Animals sponsored by vegan cupcakery Sweet Avenue Bake Shop and Planet Verge in Rutherford, NJ at Lincoln Park/Hutzel Memorial Band Shell 176 Park Ave from 1-7pm.

A bit further afield is the 10th Annual Shindig at Catskill Animal Sanctuary. Hundreds of visitors from the tri-state region will gather for live music, guided tours, hay rides, a silent auction, and food.

And Saturday evening, vegan comedians Kate Wolff and Alex Carabaño are hosting Shameful Laughs & Fine Liquor Comedy Show at Angels and Kings (the same place we have Vegan Drinks).
