SuperVegan Is Hiring Bloggers!

We’re looking for a few great bloggers to join Team SuperVegan. It’s a lot of work blogging everything vegan, but it’s tremendous exposure for you as a writer and a great way to help the vegan community.

Details: You must be able to write quickly and accurately, spot news fast, craft strong headlines and leads, and self-edit. Ideally you’ll be available to work on assignment, but also be able to find your own story ideas. We need people who can commit to writing at least three blog posts a week, hopefully more. We’ll be happy if you live in or near New York City, but it’s not a requirement. At this point, compensation is purely in the form of goodwill and great exposure. Nobody makes any money from SuperVegan.

How to apply: Send two fake SuperVegan blog posts of 200 words or less (these don’t have to be breaking news, but they should be about something real) plus one additional prose, non-fiction writing sample of any length (this can be anything: a non-SuperVegan blog post, an article, an essay, or even a third SuperVegan post) to with your name and “blogger” in the subject line. Include an introductory note telling us about yourself and any pertinent interests or experience.

If you’re not up for blogging but still want to get involved with SuperVegan, we’ll be posting other opportunities soon. Questions? Ask away in the comments.

Great question, sleckie! For the month that just ended – January 2007 – we had about 46,000 page views.

Yes, we’re still open to new applicants. Some of the application details have morphed a little, but this part hasn’t changed: “compensation is purely in the form of goodwill and great exposure. Nobody makes any money from SuperVegan.”
