A generous donor has offered to match every donation made to Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary through December 31st. This is a great reason to attend the 2nd Vegan/ Animal Rights Book Swap that I’m co-hosting this Saturday. It’s a fundraiser for the non-profit featuring a mini-bake sale and a raffle with prizes from Raganella, Owl & Thistle, Chavela’s, Terri, and Juice Hugger. Come collect books for yourself and those on your holiday shopping list.

If you need more than just books, come to the U.S. Veg Corp’s Green Holiday Festival on Sunday: “A one-day Winter holiday festival comprised of various green-minded gift vendors, non-profit information tables, live entertainment, and activities all in celebration of green living. For the first time, get all of your vegan and green gifts in one place!” Sounds fun! Also, leave the pepper spray at home people. There’s a $20 entrance fee so there will probably be more elbow room than there was at the NYC Vegetarian Food Festival.
