Olivia is sled from the farm grounds to the house.
The good news is that the feisty Olivia has suddenly made a turn for the better. WFAS director Jenny Brown writes, “She’s making a come back (at least for now….). She is getting showered with love, healthy food, and natural remedies.” Olivia eats wheatgrass daily and has been cozy and content in Jenny’s kitchen, where she heals and keeps Jenny “busy yet entertained with her sweet and inquisitive ways.” The best news is that Olivia has gone from not standing or walking at all for two weeks to making her first romp around the farm on Friday and following some of her favorite people. (She loves WFAS volunteer Bob who brings her peanuts, cantaloupe, and bananas regularly.)
Jenny emphasizes that Olivia is the poster child for why they need to build an animal hospice, which will provide a warm, clean facility for incoming animals that must be in isolation and those with special needs.
Please support WFAS in their efforts to provide care for animals like Olivia. Come out to the Gotham Comedy Club on March 24th at 8pm to laugh your ass off at the Komedy for Karma benefit. Louie CK and Gary Gulman will be among the funny folks raising winter funds for the farm. Dan Piraro will emcee! If you’re not free that night or if your funny bone is broken, you can always mosey on over to their website and make a little ol’ donation the old fashioned way.
