Dog biscuits from a bake sale held by Vegans in Greece last year. I’d eat ‘em!
MooShoes will host a vegan bake sale on Sunday, April 25, 12-5 p.m., as part of the second annual Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale! Proceeds will benefit Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. There are sure to be some yummy baked goods at MooShoes — I have it on pretty good authority that at least one fabulous new vegan restaurant (coughcoughTerri) will be there with their amazing cupcakes, so come out and support! Or, better yet, put those culinary skills to use and help bake. You can contact the organizers on their Facebook event page where they’ve posted a Google Docs spreadsheet, making it super easy to sign up.
The Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale, sponsored by D.C.-based Compassion for Animals, lasts two weeks, this year from April 24 to May 2. Groups across the globe participate in the event VegNews named the 2009′s Veg Event of the Year. And everyone — recognized group or not — is invited to get in on this thing. Promote awareness of the awesome causes of veganism and animal rights and help raise some money for ‘em with delicious edibles! VegNews offers bake sale tips here, and the WWVBS folks give their tips here. (Don’t be scared; once you find a location and choose one of the many worthy animal-related causes to sponsor, there ain’t nothin to it!) Let the folks at WWVBS know you’re planning to participate here.
And, hey, if you’re holding your own bake sale, tell us about it!

on #Please sign up to bake or just join us for a day of baked goods and Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary! We have 5 swag bags to give away for the first 5 people to sponsor an animal for the year. Donations for the bags are already in from OCC Cosmetics, Soapwalla and more.

on #The Mooshoes bake sale crew includes some of the best bakers I’ve ever met! Last time they had vegan twinkies, danishes, delicious chocolate chip cookies, pecan pie bars and all sorts of other treats.
Mooshoes is even donating 10% of any sales on that date to help Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary, so if you’ve had your eye on a pair of lovely shoes, 4/25 is the day to get them! Eat yummy food, get cool stuff and help animals – multitasking at its very best
