Some Foodswings wings/drumsticks (does any vegan place make a meaningful distiction between the two?). But the ones in the contest are the shiny red kind, not the breaded kind.
Next Wednesday, January 16th, at 6pm, Foodswings in Williamsburg will be hosting a Vegan Buffalo Wing Eating Contest. The contestant spots are all full, but you can go and watch the lucky ten who paid $20 for the privilege of eating as many wings as possible in 15 minutes (and keeping the uneaten leftovers in their “drumstick bucket”). No sauce or celery sticks allowed, and vomiting is cause for disqualification.
You can read all about the prizes on Foodswings’s Myspace Blog, and see their press release here.

on #I just wanted to let you know that when I was browsing your site via google reader, there was an ad below this posting for Jimmy Dean’s meat products (http://www.jimmydean.com/d%2Dlights/) … a bit of a contradiction. I don’t know if you have any control over that, but I just thought you would want to know. Despite this, I have subscribed to your site … thanks for the great site!

on #bananahead, thanks for letting us know! We don’t have any control over which Google ads show up, but we can block any we don’t like once we see them. I’ll go block that one immediately! Thank you.

on #You’re welcome, I’m glad you were able to take it down … I can’t believe they would post that on a vegan blog. Grrr!
