To most people, if Robert Burns means anything at all, it’s as the lyricist for “Auld Lang Syne.” But in his native Scotland, he’s a national hero. Today’s his birthday, when all good Scots gather to drink whiskey, eat haggis, and recite his poetry, including the immortal and hilarious “Address to a Haggis.” It’s a lovely tradition, but usually not a very vegan one.
Bryanna Clark Grogan of the Vegan Feast Kitchen brings us two great recipes to save the day (and save a few sheeps’ innards in the process) – haggis for dinner and typsy laird for dessert. You’re on your own for the neeps and tatties.

on #Very Scary stuff! What vegan would want to go out of their way to have or make something that tastes like animal innards/organs? Oops…I just remembered how I never found anything that could substitute the taste of my grandmother’s fried liver and onions, oh well. ;)
