I can’t resist Sacred Chow‘s Biscuits & Gravy
Ah, brunch. Given its reliance on dishes full of eggs and butter, it’s one of the least vegan-friendly meals—but when done right, it can be awesome.
Happily, a number of local restaurants have picked up on the fact that vegans like to enjoy brunch, too. Sacred Chow has its heavenly biscuits and gravy, Caravan of Dreams makes an amazing tofu-spinach omelette (and serves red wine sangria with blueberries in it!), The Organic Grill serves scrambled tofu and customized omelettes with home fries, and plenty of other places have hopped on the bandwagon.
So my question is: which one is the best? I want to hear your favorites, and (as someone who’s always on the lookout for new culinary experiences) I want to know about any I’m missing.

on #I’m going to be doing the vegan brunch at Vox Pop regularly – the first Sunday of every month. All proceeds go to Pattrice Jones’ Eastern Shore Bird Sanctuary (bravebirds.org). Just thought I’d put that out there!
But in other news, Curly’s Lunch is my favorite brunch although I haven’t had many of the others listed. I’d love to try Sacred Chow sometime. Also, Veganfriendly reviewed the Quantum Leap brunch awhile ago and gave it the thumbs up.
All hail brunch!
