Itty bitty spot top right: William in a tree
It’s been ages since I’ve promised to update you on Mr. Pigeon whom we named William. Well, he was in Ken’s care for almost two months before he started flying above 2 feet, and we finally released him in his neighborhood last week.
He wouldn’t come out of his box at first and we had to shoo him a bit, but he happily flew into a tree right away where he sat until we finally left, shouting greetings and farewells his way.
Despite doubts from the doctors, he completely recovered and was able to fly, although his wing still dragged a little.
I’ve been going back to the spot where we saw him last but haven’t seem him yet. Maybe he was so excited to be back that he’s making his rounds to tell everyone about the Wild Bird Fund and all the Musical Theatre tunes he learned while Ken was fostering him at work.

on #Congratulations on your freedom, William! Maybe he decided to expatriate from America to save his newfound freedom :(
