Attention animal activists: If you’re not going to Vegetarian Summerfest (or if you’ll be back in time Sunday morning), spend the day at the Humane Leadership Academy, sponsored by In Defense of Animals, the ASPCA, The Humane Society of the United States, and the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals.

The one-day event, which takes place in New York City on Sunday, July 9, will feature workshops and lectures led by some of the top speakers and advocates in the animal protection field. Learn something new, rekindle your activist fire, or just meet others who share your compassion.
