World Week for Animals in Laboratories 2007, an annual event seeking to expose the plight of animals used for testing and research, runs from today through Saturday the 28th. In Defense of Animals coordinates the events each year, which aim to educate the public about the scientific, moral and economic objections to animal experimentation. Events will be held all over the U.S. and in Europe. Most are protests of hospitals and research facilities, but others include marches for charity, distribution of anti-vivisection leaflets, educational lectures and benefit dinners. In New York, residents can protest alongside People for Animal Rights in East Syracuse on April 28.
