This surreal story has been making the rounds. Via the BBC:
The world’s tallest man has saved two dolphins by using his long arms to reach into their stomachs and pull out dangerous plastic shards.
Um, should I even ask how these dolphins, who lived at an aquarium, ended up swallowing plastic shards? Or should I just revel in the bizarre yet heartwarming nature of the story?
You can watch video of the rescue here.

on #AP sez: “The dolphins got sick after nibbling on plastic from the edge of their pool at an aquarium in Liaoning province. “
I wonder if they have Bao Xishun on call for just this kind of emergency.

on #But let us not forget the other dolphin news from China last week – the extinction of the Yangtze River Dolphin, unchanged for three million years, but no match for modern China.

on #Not to cause controversy or anything, but there’s a program on TLC (which is airing at this moment) which claims that Leonard Stadnyk is the world’s tallest man (though unlike Bao Xishun, Leonard hasn’t been measured by Guiness).
