The League of Humane Voters has endorsed Zenobia McNally for City Council in Brooklyn’s 40th District (Kensington, Prospect-Lefferts, Ditmas Park, parts of Crown Heights, Flatbush, and East Flatbush), citing her support for animals and her “commitment, intellect, and passion to get things done at City Hall.” In this speech, McNally makes her case for understanding diversity and representing the underdogs:
If elected, that compassion will prove crucial to her promised support of the Pets in Housing Bill as well as a ban on the sale of foie gras (known to some as hepatic lipidosis, or diseased fatty liver).
This Tuesday, February 20th is Election Day. The turn-out is expected to be low so getting voters to the polls is vital. If you don’t live in this district, spreading the word about McNally to your Brooklyn buddies is a fantastic way to show support!
